From Our Pastor – June 14th

June 14, 2020

To the Members and Friends of the Swampscott Church of Spiritualism:

As I write, yet another letter to you, I continue to hope that each of you is well.  These sure have been some challenging times both physically and emotionally. Yet, we continue to live each moment and I hope you find yourself settling into joy, peace, and relative contentment.

Many have asked whether the church will be opening for in-person services. At this time, there is not a specific date scheduled for the reopening of the building for in-person services. There are many factors that we continue to take into consideration, and we will reopen when it seems most appropriate and safe for all of our congregants. I know this news may not be what most want to hear because we all miss our church; however, the Board of Trustees and I want to make the best decisions for the safety and well-being everyone. We will communicate our reopening plans when we approach a reopening date. So please continue to bear with us, and stay tuned as we share information.

Please consider joining us for online classes beginning tomorrow. We have the philosophy course for five weeks, and it will include some engaging conversations and information. It will also be an opportunity to connect with some faces you may not have seen for some time. Also, on Wednesday, there will be a development circle beginning for those mediums who have completed Mediumship I and II. This will be an excellent opportunity to work with a different church certified medium each week. Lastly, please consider joining our upcoming book club! This book selection introduces you to Harriet E. Wilson, an impressive Spiritualist.

All of the class information is posted on the church’s website (scos.us), so be sure to register.

Sending healing and light to each of you,

Rev. Jason
