From Our Pastor – May 17th

May 17, 2020

Dear Members and Friends of the Swampscott Church of Spiritualism:

As the warm weather begins to arrive, I wish to send each of you warm thoughts. I hope that these weekly letters do not become repetitive as I feel the need, each week, to remind you that you are missed, and you are not alone in missing the physical connection while social distancing continues. Many prayers and much energy is being sent to you for your mental, physical, and spiritual well being. I know these times are not easy, but, again, these times will pass, and we will be renewed with spiritual bliss when we all come together in the near future!

I would like to thank the kind response that was received as a result of the letter I shared last week. Many of you answered my call to assist the church in our financial obligations. Although we are separate from the church building, it is wonderful to be reminded that we are all still connected, and we are still able to care for the building so that way when we return, it will be as beautiful as always. And, on that note, I would like to extend a special note of gratitude to David Schreck and Prue Sinclair who continue to care for the church and its grounds. I took a drive by the other day and spent a moment taking in not only the beautiful energy of the church, but also how magnificent the church grounds look. We are truly blessed. Thank you!

As you go forward throughout your week, I hope you continue to hold love and light in your heart and share it with all of those who may need it most in these difficult times. It is not only the spiritual thing to do, but also the right thing to do.

In closing, I’d like to leave you with one of my favorite prayers that comes from Don Miguel Ruiz titled Prayer for Love:

Thank You, Creator of the Universe for the gift of Life you have
             given me,
Thank You for giving me everything that I have ever needed,
Thank You for the opportunity to experience this beautiful body
             and this wonderful mind,
Thank You for living inside me with all Your Love and Your pure
and boundless Spirit, with Your warm and radiating Light.
Thank You for using my words, for using my eyes, for using my
heart to share your love wherever I go.
I love You just the way you are and because I am your creation, I
love myself just the way I am.
Help me to keep the Love and the Peace in my Heart and to make
that Love a new way of life, that I may live in Love the rest of my
            life.
            Amen.

May blessings and love continue to be bountiful in your life,

Rev. Jason
