Classes Canceled – New Dates to be Determined

 

The Education Department of the Swampscott Church of Spiritualism is pleased to offer the following courses for the development and continued education of our members and friends.

Registration:  Sign up in Simpson Hall or call 781-595-6972 and leave a message or send your check and a non-refundable 50% course fee to the church at 59 Burrill St., Swampscott, MA 01907.  The full cost of each class will be due at the beginning of each course.

 

Starting in March:

Healing Level One
This six week course is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of spiritual healing as practiced at the Swampscott Church of Spiritualism (SCOS). This course provides opportunities for practicing the laying on of hands. We will also review confidentiality and the ethics of healing.

Pre-Requisite: None

Instructor: Diane Hansen (CSH)

Cost: $75 members/$100 non-members

When: Wednesdays , March 4th – April 8th

Time: 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

Mediumship I
This six week course is designed to introduce participants to all of the fundamentals of Mediumship. Since this is a beginner’s course, it will focus on the education and understanding it takes to be a Spiritualist Medium. Completion of this course will lead to Mediumship Level Two.

Pre-requisite: None

Instructor:  Rev. Jason McCuish

Cost:  $75 members/$100 non-members

When:  Tuesdays, March 10th – April 21st (No class on St Patrick’s Day)

Time:  7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Mediumship II
This course is designed to build on the fundamentals taught in the Introduction to Mediumship class.  It will focus on the practice and demonstration of mediumship, giving private readings and sitting in a mediumship development circle.  We will also delve deeper into principles of Spiritualism and the practices of a Spiritualist Medium.

Pre-requisite: Mediumship I

Instructor:  Rev. Jason McCuish

Cost:  $75 members/$100 non-members

When: Tuesdays, April 28th – June 2nd

Time:  7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Intermediate Mediumship Circle
This course is designed to expand the abilities you have acquired in the Mediumship II class.  It will focus on the practice and demonstration of mediumship, giving private readings, sitting in a mediumship development circle, as well as platform demonstrations.  We will continue to delve deeper into principles of Spiritualism and the practices of a Spiritualist Medium.

Pre-requisite: Mediumship I and II
